Bastrop Bodies of Water
This is the 18th longest river in the United States, with its source and mouth in the state of Texas. It is an important source of water for farming and electrical power.
Lake Bastrop is a reservoir of the Colorado River, located in Spicer creek, just outside Bastrop. A quarter of the shoreline is owned by the Boy Scouts of America. It is a popular spot for recreational fishing, with catfish, crappie, perch, sunfish, carp, and largemouth bass all found within its waters.
